Eric Weber

Eric Weber is a Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE #308), Certified Ubiquiti Trainer, and Certified Wireless Network Trainer for CWNP. With decades of experience in networking and a passion for teaching, Eric brings both deep technical expertise and a unique life perspective to the classroom.

After serving in the U.S. Army, where he traveled extensively through Europe and Asia and earned his college degree, Eric transitioned into the tech industry as a Novell CNE. His career evolved through roles in network consulting before a chance project in 2005 introduced him to Wi‑Fi deployment. That opportunity sparked a new focus, leading him to build a successful business in hospitality Wi‑Fi and master technologies from Engenius, Ligowave, Ruckus, and Ubiquiti.

In 2012, Eric and his wife relocated to Myrtle Beach, where he shifted toward giving back to the Wi‑Fi community through training. He became certified on Ubiquiti products and pursued vendor‑neutral credentials with CWNP, ultimately earning his CWNE in 2019 after years of rigorous study.

Eric credits his journey to perseverance, strong mentors, and a deep personal faith that shapes his approach to life and teaching. He is committed to inspiring others, sharing practical insights, and helping students navigate the ever‑evolving world of wireless networking

Ryan Haag

Ryan Haag is a Certified Ubiquiti Trainer and an Authorized Training Instructor with the Project Management Institute. He brings a unique blend of technical expertise, real‑world problem‑solving, and a passion for empowering others to manage their own networks.

Ryan spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologist, serving aboard submarines, surveillance aircraft, surface ships, and major staff commands. His career took him around the globe — including deployments to multiple war zones — before he retired to pursue new challenges.

His journey into networking began during the COVID‑19 pandemic, when his church needed a reliable streaming setup. With a small donation and a lot of ingenuity, Ryan installed a Ubiquiti network and automated camera system. That project quickly grew into a steady stream of requests from churches and small businesses for streaming, Wi‑Fi, VoIP, and access control solutions.

Specializing in serving organizations often overlooked by large IT firms, Ryan focuses on making technology approachable. He takes pride in explaining network systems in plain language so clients can confidently maintain their own infrastructure. Ubiquiti’s intuitive interface proved a perfect match for his teaching style — and led him to join WiFi‑U, where he now trains and consults alongside Eric and Nancy.

David Grillo

David Grillo is a Certified Trainer for both Ubiquiti and MikroTik, with a decade of hands‑on networking experience. His career began as a Networking Engineer, but his passion for wireless connectivity quickly became the focus of his work.

Starting with home Wi‑Fi gear like routers and bridges, David’s expertise took a leap forward when he discovered Ubiquiti. Working in his native Peru, he faced the challenge of delivering broadband wireless in rugged, mountainous terrain — and Ubiquiti’s reliable, cost‑effective solutions proved the perfect fit.

Over the past five years as a Certified Trainer, David has dedicated himself to sharing his knowledge of Wi‑Fi design, deployment, and optimization. His teaching blends technical depth with real‑world problem‑solving, helping students master wireless networking and make the most of Ubiquiti’s capabilities.

Kevin Houser

Kevin Houser is a full‑time Ubiquiti trainer based in Southern California with over 35 years of experience in IT instruction. His career began in the early days of networking, teaching Novell 3.12 and Microsoft 3.11, and has since spanned multiple disciplines, earning him certifications including CWNA, MCSE, and CCNA.

A dedicated educator, Kevin has focused on Ubiquiti training for many years, helping students master routing, switching, and wireless technologies. He is the author of The Unauthorized Guide to Ubiquiti Routing and Switching, a companion to the UBRSS course, and The Unauthorized Ubiquiti Radio and Access Point Handbook, which covers deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of Ubiquiti radios and access points.

Kevin’s teaching blends deep technical knowledge with decades of classroom experience, making complex networking concepts accessible to learners at all levels.
